STEPS OF THE ADMISSION PROCESS

STEP 1 – CREATE AN ONLINE STUDENT ACCOUNT

To create an online student account, click on apply now button on the website www.nymu.org and complete the required information and submit it. After submitting the required information, you will receive an email with a username and password. You may then login to your personal student account and start the application process. You can monitor the status of your application through your personal student account.

STEP 2 – COMPLETE THE ONLINE APPLICATION FORM

Complete ALL parts of the online application form, do not leave any sections of the application blank unless it does not apply to you. Your online application must include your current passport-size photo (your photo must be taken within 1 month of the application). Online applications without your picture will not be processed.

STEP 3– SUBMIT THE FOLLOWING REQUIRED DOCUMENTS ALONG WITH THE APPLICATION

3 letters of recommendation

Personal statement

Official transcripts

Current Resume

Current police clearance letter

Copy of current passport

Copy of current driver license

STEP 4 – ATTEND OVER THE SKYPE INTERVIEW

Once the online application is reviewed and accepted, you will be invited for the first interview over Skype.

The first interview is very important, giving us a chance to get to know you better. Everyone is offered the first interview regardless of their academic standings, grades, background, and education history. We give everyone an equal opportunity. The first interview is conducted online through Skype. If needed you will be invited for a second interview.

STEP – YOU WILL RECEIVE AN ACCEPTANCE OR REJECTION LETTER

The acceptance letter will be sent via email, followed by a phone call to confirm the receipt of the acceptance letter. You must accept the admission offer within 15 days of receipt of the admission letter. Failure to do so may result in your seat being assigned to another candidate, and your registration will be postponed to the next available term. If you don’t receive your acceptance or rejection letter within 10 days after your interview, first make sure to check your email spam, otherwise call us.

STEP 6 – REGISTER FOR CLASSES

Pay $100 nonrefundable Application Fee

Pay $1000 nonrefundable Registration Fee

Register for classes. You must pay the registration and application fees prior to registering for classes.
